After a 3 years absence, Marvel’s first family the Fantastic 4 is set to return in August 2018 in monthly installments.
Fantastic 4’s cancellation in 2015, was rumored to be a marketing tactic to try and draw interest away from the the famed characters as Marvel Entertainment, at the time, did not hold the film rights to the characters and wanted to make the characters less appealing to 20th Century Fox and not give free marketing to a competitor.
The new series of comic books will be written by Marvel veteran Dan Slott, known for his work on Spider-Man and will be drawn by Sara Pichelli, known for Guardians of the Galaxy, Runaways, Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man.
As we know, in December 2017, Disney brought the studio 20th Century Fox from News Corp including all assets owned by them, which includes, Fantastic 4, X-men, Deadpool, Alien, The Simpsons and many more, so this news isn’t much of a surprise to most.
