This Print will be will be unique to each eligible user and will show everything they’ve achieved as a PlayStation Plus member.
It’s hard to imagine but it has already been 5 years since PlayStation Plus was first released.
Gamers were very sceptical of the service at first, as many didn’t see the line up of free games (later to be known as the instant game collection), to be worth the price of admission.
Although PlayStation was offering your money’s worth for the price of the service, there wasn’t many good titles on offer.
At first we were offered PlayStation minis, PS Classics and a few PSN only games including Wipe Out HD.
It wasn’t until E3 2012 that PlayStation announced the Instant Game collection would begin including a vast amount of AAA games including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, InFamous 2, LittleBigPlanet 2 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.
Since then PlayStation Plus membership sky rocketed to more than a 1000% increase in members bringing it into the service we all know today and paving the way for PS+ to be manidtory for PS4’s multiplier functionality.
It has become such a major selling point for the PlayStation brand that Xbox have themselves included their own Games for Gold service which acts in the same manner as PS+’s Instant Game Collection.
As of 2014 PS+ have offered $1300 worth of games compared to Xbox’s Games for Gold which offered over $580 for the same price of a yearly subscription.
If you have been a member of PS+ since the beginning, look in your e-mails because PlayStation will be offering special a gift as a small “Thank You” for your loyalty.
PlayStation have also announced today that the NA and EU PlayStation Plus updates will now be moved to the first Tuesday of every month, moved from Wednesday for EU members.
So gamers! Are you a PS+ member? Have you got your money’s worth? Did you get the special gift for being with them since day one? Let us know in the comments we would love to hear what your experiences have been.
